AIMS:
To provide a forum for professional education, peer support and communication of issues related to continence promotion and management for nurses in NSW. CoNSA NSW & ACT is a member of the National (Australian Nurses for Continence) Body
OBJECTIVES:
•To produce and circulate quarterly newsletters for members
•To facilitate biannual education seminars relating to contemporary continence promotion issues
•Provide scholarships to members to enable continuing professional development
•Contribute to the development of nursing education related to continence promotion and management at an undergraduate and postgraduate level
•To form professional relationships with various nursing special interest groups in order to promote the specialist of continence promotion
•Promote continence awareness amongst health professionals , and the community in current trends of continence management
MEETING FREQUENCY:
General members meeting annually
Executive committee meeting 2nd monthly
VENUE:
Negotiated with committee members
MEMBERSHIP:
Nurses with an interest in continence promotion. This may include:
•Nurse continence advisors
•Registered nurses
•Enrolled nurses
•Corporation members
Executive committee positions (10 in total) Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Newsletter Editor, Education Subcommittee, National Representative, Country Representative, and Corporation Membership Representative
QUORUM:
Committee members are expected to attend at least 4 meeting per year. 6 Committee members needed to be present to hold an AGM

•Committee meeting minutes to be emailed to members approximatley two weeks after meeting
